Light Party®  Started in 2000... 

 

Light Party started in 2000 when Wendy Reid, a mother and Children's worker in Auckland, NZ was frustrated with the negative aspects of traditional Halloween activities and decided to do something positive for community children. She developed the Light Party® concept, and ran her first Light Party® in her home for her children and their friends. It was so popular that with the support of her church she ran a Light Party® for the Sunday School and the wider community.

In 2003 she established an Internet presence.The Light Party® brand was Trade Marked, marketed in New Zealand and internationally and Light Party® events have grown in popularity ever since!   Today there are over 100 Light Party events around the world, each year on October 31st.  Light Party® Incorporated is based in New Zealand.
